Badminton

The Inala PCYC Badminton Club welcomes players of all ages to try their hand at badminton.

OUR SOCIAL GAMES are played across 8 courts.

We encourage a self organisation manner to decide games. This way individuals can choose who to play against. However, if you need a hand we can organise players for you as well.

For court courtesy, just remember if you see say 16 people waiting along the sides, then (16 divide by 4) it is suggested you wait 4 games before you go on and play again. Court hogging will not be tolerated and upon 3 warnings, dismal from the club without membership refund will be instigated.

EQUIPMENT AND ATTIRE:

All players are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, with non-marking shoes.

Racquets are provided but at a cost of $2 per hire. Replacement cost ($60) if not returned or broken.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS:

We currently have 280 players and counting as listed badminton players of our club. On an average night however, we only get 40-50 players. On average our players will have at least 5 x 31pt games per night and quite often some even get 8 games into a night.

COST:

$7 per session as a member payable to PCYC

$13 for non-members

 

Annual PCYC membership fee:

For insurance purposes all players must be a member of the PCYC to participate in activities. $30.00 currently.

BEGINNER BADMINTON

We have a special time for beginners badminton. This 9-12pm session every sunday offers for the same level of competition between players. This allows for more competitive games for the same level of players and avoids the skewing of levels of games. All ages of players are welcome to attend.

We also offer coaching and current coaching costs $12. This will allow for 1.5 hours of training and 1.5 hours of social game play as well. We look at, footwork, serving, lifts, smashes etc.....

We are also looking to start a new social group at the following time slot of SUNDAYS between 12 and 3pm. Please register your interest below.
